If you follow me on social media you’ve seen my posts about “Shaun Week”… so what is it and why am I SO freaking pumped about it?? Shaun Week is a brand new program from Shaun T (one of my absolute favorite Beachbody super trainers, and just an all around amazing person). It’s exclusive to Beachbody On Demand and it’s only seven days in length. I say ONLY seven days but let’s be serious, if it’s from Shaun T, you know it’s going to make you WORK!
The Workouts: Based on what I’ve seen so far from Team Beachbody it looks like we can expect new workouts from Shaun T much like his Insanity and T25 programs. Both Insanity (Asylum, Max:30, etc) and T25 are heavily focused on cardio (mainly HIIT – high intensity interval training) and body weight exercises. For both programs you don’t need a single piece of equipment. You’ll use your own body as your weight and focus on moves like push-ups, squats and lunges… but with all kinds of crazy variations! The workouts will be released only on Beachbody On Demand, a streaming service that allows you to take your workouts wherever there’s WiFi, and they will be released day by day. Meaning that each day when you log onto BOD, you’ll have your next, brand new workout ready to go!
The Meal Plan: I’ve created a customized meal plan for anyone in my challenge group that is completing Shaun Week along with me. It will be focused on clean eating, portion control, and getting whole food nutrition from Shakeology. The meal plans that go along with T25 and Insanity are just like 21 Day Fix and rely on the portion control container system, which my custom meal plan will also use. Over these seven days we’ll focus on CLEAN eating (aka, nothing processed, no alcohol, sugary drinks, etc) and meals will consist of things like fresh veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains. There will also be some delicious new recipes thrown in so keep an eye out!
The Accountability: Just like with any Beachbody program, you’ll have access to my accountability group where we post about our workouts, nutrition and help keep each other motivated to achieve our goals! Shaun Week will be no exception and I’ll be running a full on accountability group, this time through Facebook! We’ll post daily about our workouts, how we’re feeling, motivational quotes, healthy and yummy recipes and just all out inspiration to push through a week of change and intensity!
The Reward: Here’s the fun part… I’m doing a HUGE raffle for anyone that successfully completes Shaun Week (aka, every workout). At the end of the week I’ll be raffling off a Performance Line Stack from Beachbody Performance Line which will include a FULL SIZE of Recover and Energize.
